Our story
BitVault Europe S.A. LTD. was established in Vienna in 2023 by a team of security engineers, blockchain analysts, and financial-crime investigators. The company was founded on a straightforward principle: that the protection of client assets, and their recovery in the event of fraud, should be treated as core functions of the business rather than as secondary considerations.
What we do
Many providers focus solely on the storage of digital assets. BitVault combines institutional-grade custody, including multi-signature architecture, cold storage, and continuous monitoring, with a dedicated asset-recovery practice. Where fraud occurs, our investigators trace funds across networks, coordinate with exchanges and financial institutions, and work alongside the appropriate authorities in order to maximise the prospect of a successful recovery.
How refunds and recoveries are handled
Where a client is eligible for a refund or for the recovery of misappropriated assets, BitVault manages the process in cooperation with established industry partners, including blockchain.com, together with the relevant financial institutions and public authorities. This cooperation supports the tracing of assets on the blockchain and the lawful return of funds where recovery is achievable. BitVault does not guarantee that any particular refund or recovery will succeed, as outcomes depend on factors beyond the company's control, including the actions of third parties and the irreversible nature of certain blockchain transactions.
